Hannah Jayne’s terms and conditions of hire are dictated by experience and are designed to effortlessly support the efficiency and professionalism of your event.

Event Timings- Hannah usually aims to arrive 60-90 minutes before the performance start time. This time is used to set up equipment, sound check and warm up. If you require a venue change during the middle of your booking, this pack down and set up time will form part of the quoted price.

​

Distance Fees and Travel Expenses - Hannah is based in North Yorkshire, United Kingdom. With advanced notice, she is able to travel. Please be advised that travel or accommodation costs will be itemised in your initial quote and finalised in your invoice; Musician’s Union rates (April 2023) are  56p per mile (car) and £11.25 per hour of travel time. Late fees are payable when time of return is midnight – 02:00am at an extra cost of £31.89. Mileage charges will apply outside of a 6 mile radius; Hourly travel time charges will apply outside of the first 60 minutes.

Musical Arrangements- If you have any special requests that are not on Hannah’s set list,  she would be happy to arrange 3 extra pieces for your wedding or event; Additional arrangement fees are payable at £50 per song request.  To ensure this is achievable, please provide these requests with no less than one month notice.

Hannah has experience creating set lists to accommodate various event styles. Please inform Hannah of any pieces in her set list that you do not wish to be played at your event. The more information you can provide with regards to the ‘ambience’ of the event, will help Hannah choose the right style of pieces. Please note, Hannah specialises in a classical fusion of Rock ‘N’ Pop instrumentals. Hannah has a selection of chart hits and old classics arranged for either electric or acoustic violin; Some of her instrumentals have fuller backing tracks, some are unplugged versions with acoustic style accompaniment, others are on the heavier side! No gimmicks, just real, live music!

Photos - If your photographer has any images of Hannah, which you would be happy for her to use on her website or social media channels, she would be very pleased to know. Where possible, please provide details of your event photographer, as Hannah may like to contact them further, or tag their business to the pictures for copyright protection. At appropriate times throughout the day, Hannah will take pictures to advertise her services on social media platforms. Any pictures that are taken that may include guests will be sent to the client for permission before use.

​

Outside Performances - Hannah Jayne is available to perform outside, however, a space will need to be provided that is sheltered from potential rain, direct sunlight or very cold temperatures. This shaded area needs to be big enough to cover Hannah, her violin whilst playing, violin stand, iPad stand and her PA system. Performances outside are weather permitting; It is best advised to prepare a contingency plan if the weather is not suitable.

If the event is held in a field, you will need to provide a power supply. Please let Hannah know if parking is available, or if there are likely to be any problems with loading and unloading equipment to the performance area.

Equipment & Set Up Options:

Yamaha Stagepass 1K Column – This PA delivers professional level audio performance for a larger scale event; Perfect for larger drink receptions, parties and corporate events. The space required to play is approximately 2m x 2m. Hannah will need to be in the same room as the PA system. A power supply or socket nearby is required to run extension leads to the performance area. This versatile set up provides the options of both acoustic violin and electric violin set lists. INDOOR USE ONLY.

Bose S1 Pro System – This PA is designed for both high performance and portability with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. The minimalistic wireless option is perfect for those intimate ceremonies, drinks receptions and parties both indoors and outdoors (weather permitting).  

​

Set List Options Explained– Each bespoke set list category offers something a little different and there is so much to choose from, but please do not worry!  When you provide Hannah with the desired ambience, event type and dress code, Hannah then handpicks the perfect pieces to match.

If you are looking for an ‘acoustic party vibe’ for a drinks reception or intimate party, then a selection of pieces from ‘Live Lounge – Unplugged’ is just the thing! Think MTV Unplugged or BBC live lounge as the inspiration; This is suitable for an amplified acoustic violin. Check out Hannah’s video of Sia’s Cheap Thrills for an example of ‘Live Lounge’.

If you are looking for a sophisticated, modern or romantic ambience, then pieces from the ‘Chilled out Instrumentals’ is a fabulous option. Perfect for the arrival of guests or relaxed sit down meal.  Check out Hannah’s recording of Shania Twain’s Still The One for an example of ‘Chilled out Instrumentals’.

If you are looking for something a little on the heavier side then the alternative playlist of classic rock and pop party anthems could be it! An electric, high energy set list performed on a Ted Brewer LED electric violin and effects pedals. Perfect for the rock’n’roll wedded couple or entertainment whilst your guests network at your corporate event. INDOOR USE ONLY.

Set Length, Breaks and Refreshments - Musicians are athletes; Continuous instrumental playing requires great concentration and stamina. Depending on the type of event, Hannah will happily play engagements of varying lengths, but will take short breaks at appropriate moments.

For engagements of three hours or more, particularly those which span a conventional meal-time, Hannah would kindly ask that a meal and soft drink is provided.

As a guide, Hannah typically plays set lengths of 20-30 mins, 40-45 mins or up to a maximum of 1 hour per set.  Hannah designs the number of set (s) and length of comfort breaks with the information you provide,  taking care to  accommodate the event type. 

​

Payment- All arrangements, including the date, time and fee for the engagement, will be agreed in writing. Hannah Jayne will provide an itemised invoice for your record.  A non-refundable deposit of £50 of the agreed hire fee is required at the time of booking, in order to secure Hannah’s services on the date provided. Payments are to be made via BACs transfer. Please see your invoice for payment account details. Please provide your NAME and DATE of your event as the reference, so your payment is easily located. Unfortunately Hannah does not accept credit card or cash payments. The outstanding balance is kindly requested no later than one month before the event date.

The hire fee of your event will vary depending on the type of performance, date, location and length of set(s). Please fill out the ‘Request a Quote’ form, with as much information as you can. 

​

Public Liability, Insurance and Data Protection - Hannah has Public Liability Insurance up to £1,000,000. Hannah’s equipment is PAT-tested and of the highest standard. Hannah is a member of the Musician’s Union and is registered with the ICO, which informs Hannah of the most recent GDPR regulations.

 

Hannah has a DBS which is registered with the annual update service.
